Spirituality and Mental Health Workshop

This training will enrich your clinical practice by exploring the dimensions of spirituality. We will explore ways that professionals can deepen their effectiveness through a greater openness to the spiritual lives of their clients and will introduce practices for professionals that will deepen their own spiritual awareness and their attentiveness to clients’ Issues. The program will combine lecture, individual practice, and group discussions.
How an exploration of the spiritual dimensions of clients’ lives can provide an opening to explore their sense of well-being, meaning/lessness, connection, loneliness, self-criticism, etc.

Spiritual practices that can be offered to clients to assist their self-awareness and effect healing.
Spiritual practices such as mindfulness, discernment, and metta (lovingkindness) that can increase professionals’ effectiveness.
Spiritual practices that address the loneliness and burnout of mental health professionals.
