Emerging Jewish and Muslim Leaders

With generous funding from the Henry Luce Foundation, our Department of Multifaith Studies and Initiatives is building a network of emerging Jewish and Muslim leaders who engage in interfaith dialogue and build skills to replicate that process in their communities. Intensive retreats include students from various rabbinical programs—ranging from Orthodox to Renewal—as well as young Muslim academics, clerics and new community leaders. This expands the impact of RRC’s innovative work with rabbinical students and Muslim peers, its hevrutah (paired-learning) approach, and relationship-building programs. The retreats have been so successful, a steering committee of retreat alumni is now working on an ongoing basis to develop new and ongoing programs.
